It has a sudden  warmth  which burns a person's flesh, but at the same time it also contains an inferior  moisture , which is detrimental to human flesh.  According to the ancient philosophers of medicine, its only benefit is that it is sometimes added to some laxative drinks against  CONSTIPATION . It increases the effects of those medicines in so far as the  evil  found in the human body is thus driven out by another evil.
