LUNGWORT (PULMONARIA OFFICINALIS) Lungwort is  cold and a little bit dry ; it is not really useful for a person's health. If, however, someone's LUNGS ARE SWOLLEN  ,so that he keeps COUGHING and CAN HARDLY BREATHE , a remedy of lungwort boiled in wine  is taken regularly.  Lungwort is beneficial for sheep to eat , if they eat much of it they become healthy, put on weight and produce much milk. GALANGAL (ALPINIA GALANGA) Galangal (Alpinia galanga). The galangal is very  warm and effective.  The following powder helps against BAD BREATH : Mix equal proportions of galangal and fennel with twice as much  nutmeg and  Spanish chamomile ( Anacyclus pyrethrum ). PEA (PISUM SATIVUM) Pea (Pisum sativum). The pea has a negative effect on the lungs; it makes them heavy. Moreover, a poultice  made from the above ingredients may be applied directly on the stomach .
