HOME REMEDIES: MILKWEED
St Hildegard writes:
"When God created man, a different type of earth was used to form him. Henceforth, all substances were subject to man, because they sensed that in him was life, and they endeavoured to aid him in him in all his efforts, and man's aim, in turn, was to help them."
MILKWEED (EUPHORBIA PEPLUS)
Milkweed is warm and dry and useful for many things.
Boiled with wine and honey it gets rid of any type of GOUT. To facilitate this, the beverage described above is taken regularly with a meal and additionally during the night. Moreover, a poultice made from the above ingredients may be applied directly on the stomach.
The following remedy clears the CHEST and aids the LARYNX (voice box):
Equal parts of dried powdered liquorice and finely ground wild hop are mixed with some dry salt. This powder is taken both on an empty stomach and at mealtimes.
