HOME REMEDIES: CREEPING TORMENTIL
St Hildegard writes:
"When God created man, a different type of earth was used to form him. Henceforth, all substances were subject to man, because they sensed that in him was life, and they endeavoured to aid him in him in all his efforts, and man's aim, in turn, was to help them."
CREEPING TORMENTIL (POTENTILLA REPTANS)
Creeping tormentil is very warm, its sap possesses moderate moisture. It is a remedy against HIGH FEVER. To help combat fever, the plant is thoroughly crushed. Then add it to wheat flour, some tree oil (if this is not at hand, poppy seed oil is used instead) and water. This is kneaded into a soft dough. The paste is applied to cloth made from hemp. These medicated strips are wrapped around the body of the sick person. They must be reheated once during the night and once during the day and reapplied.
To clear CLOUDED VISION, creeping tormentil is steeped in wine. The strained wine is used for washing the eyes. This wine is also effective against JAUNDICE.
